Breathless
I have just come to work
And I must say,
With your poem I read
My breath went away.
I wish it were true
For every day of the week,
That I could write poems
To make you weep.
For a tender tear
Of longing hope,
A future unsure
With promising growth.
Whisk you away
Tis my desire,
But cautious be
That we must tread,
Upon the soil of your kingdom.
Patience and company
We both must find,
Together to conquer
To reach peace of mind.
